Well school is back in session after a great break, and along with school comes morning devotionals. Three days a week the staff gathers together in the morning before school to spend some time together praying and growing in our relationships with each other and God. On Tuesdays, the men and the women split up to do a more personal and direct bible study. I know this isn't the usual blog etiquette, but as we grow closer with our friends here, we would also love to grow closer in Christ with each and everyone of you as well. Everyone needs prayer no matter where you are and what you're doing, so my challenge to you all is to comment on this blog or email either Melissa or I with your specific prayer requests. We would love to be praying for all of you in specific ways, and would love the same in return. Let me get us started with a couple specific things you could be praying for us for.
1. We are praying and weighing the option of coming back as missionaries for another year and would love prayer that we make the right decision and go do what God wants us to do. and
2. That we influence and leave a mark on these kids that will change their lives whether we are here next year or not.

I love hearing all the things that are going on in your lives. I read all your posts (thanks for the reminder emails), and its exciting to see how God is working through you both. Its an amazing opportunity you have, building into the lives of those kids. I'll be praying for you both, in your decision for your future, and the influence you have in the lives of kids you're building into.
ReplyDeletePray for us too, as we enter into year two here in San Diego, submerging into our neighborhood and into Mexico. We're asking God to continue to show us where he's at work here, then equip us to boldly step into that with him (and others).

We are always praying for you both. You are family to me and as much as I would miss you both I think if God has the plan for you to go back then you should. Stay strong in the Lord and always know how many people love you two and think about you all the time! God Bless!
