Red Bull Air Races!

On Aug. 20, it is St. Istvan's (Steven) Day in Hungary (which is like our Fourth of July). Every year they host the Red Bull Air Races in Budapest on this day. We rallied downtown to see them and it was awesome! The planes cruise right under the main bridge and the course is set up in front of the parliament building which is about as good a backdrop as anything I have ever seen! We went from the sides of the Danube River up castle hill which is pretty amazing as well. We just walked around and also watched some more of the races from up there. The Hungarians sure as heck know how to have a holiday....in between the planes racing they had the blue angels put on a huge show some big military planes fly over and tons of music and fun all day until about 9p.m. when they had a massive fireworks show! Anyways, it has been a lot of fun having some time to explore before school starts which will be Wednesday the 26th. The beginning of next week is staff orientation and than we get started with what we came here to do!!! We will keep updating and am also in the process of putting more pics and videos on youtube and you can go to Flickr now and see some more as well....http://www.flickr.com/photos/brandonwilcox

Talk to you all again soon!
